Lab maniac or barren glory decks?

I was reading a thread somewhere on this site and someone mentioned using leveler and lab maniac in a deck. Does anyone here on vault have a fairly reliable deck built around this combo? I also thought about playing a deck with barren glory, oblivion ring and worldslayer sword. Any decks with this combo? I know these are probably considered lame wins but the reactions of your opponent must be priceless if you are successful.

One more question, is equipment considered tapped if equipped to an attacking creature? Trying to find out if Worldslayer is effected by Brink of Disaster. *(nevermind that statement, brink wont work for that purpose)*
