MTG Vault Deck Challenges
Deck Challenge - Nuke 'Em
There's a ALOT of combos that can kill once they go off, but one of my favorite ways is to put out 4 (or more) copies of Kokusho, the Evening Star (affectionately known as 'Kokusho Nuke'). I currently do this in my Dragonstorm deck. I've been trying to work on a deck that puts all 4 Kokushos into my graveyard to be put onto the battlefield with Living Death and another deck that mana ramps to play one Kokusho then create 5 copies with a kicked Rite of Replication.
My challenge to you is to make a deck that wins via a 'Kokusho Nuke'.
Rules:
1) Have fun
2) Must win via life loss from multiple Kokushos going to the graveyard (ie Kokusho Nuke)

bit of a roundabout way to it but if you multicolor red and blue i would use dopplels and splinter twins i would try to get one out or maybe use a dimir doppelganger to use it from the grave then splinter twin copied one and try to get out pyrexian metemorphs ane renegade dopplegangers i dont think this idea would be mana efficent though and would likely be far to slow

Here you go. Using Safe Haven to drop all 4 at once and have enough mana to kicked Rite of rep. 1. Would that work on the stack?

Pretty sure the RoR wouldn't work, but even so, a typical "Kokusho Nuke" is with 4 of them...which adds up to 20 life lost for the opponent(s) and at least 20 life gained for you. It's very rare that someone comes back from something like that =P

why wouldnt that work? I guess if its on the stack from sacking the Safe Haven, they would still be removed from the game. Still, its another way to do it.

My comment from the deck:
"Unfortunately (as far as I understand) you won't be able to use Rite of Replication if you bring multiple Kokushos in with the land as it's a state based thing that the Legend rule kills the Kokushos. If you hide one Kokusho with the land and then bring it back once you got enough mana for kicking the Rite, that'd work."

This meets the requirements, but it's really expensive.

Doesn't a deck need at least 60 cards?

A deck only needs 45 but 60 is considered the ideal number.

Actually 60 cards IS the minimum deck size. The only exception is sealed tournaments (like pre release tournaments)

If a clone is cast does it come in with the same name as the copied card if so you can 2 step win in a BUG deck with Bloodbond March and some clones assuming you have a Kokusho in play.

Misty Rainforests and Verdant Catacombs don't do you any good without basic lands. Good call on the graveyard combos though.

yes they do due to the fact that they search for land types and all the lands have one of the searchable type. if i was using terramorphic expanse it wouldnt work but with fetches like Krosan Verge and the zendikar/ onslaught fetches it does.

They can also search for the Ravnica dual land rares as those rares have the basic land types in thier type line. It's actually a commonly used "trick" in A LOT of Modern decks.
