EDIT: Oh just realized that the first card is ONE sentence, makes a lot more sense now.. Still i'll wait for an answer to be sure.

EDIT2: So I just thought about this,
I have Llanwarelves with echantment regeneration,
I decide to make him block an attacker,
my attacker would have killed my creature, but since I tap him (gain G in manapool)
I then activate regeneration therefore it doesn't die... am I right?

Also,
Whenever I activate regeneration not to die in combat, I can do it after the phase or do I have to do it before, making me tap the creature and not being able to block with it.. confusing.

EDIT3:
506.4b Tapping or untapping a creature that‘s already been declared as an attacker or blocker
doesn‘t remove it from combat and doesn‘t prevent its combat damage.

So never mind, everything's fine.
