Deck Challenge: Zendikon Deck

Hello everyone! You can call me Yroc, and I am extremely new to magic. However, the first deck I biult myself was a random :manab::manau: deck, which wasn't very good. But, my favorite part about the deck was pulling a Corrupted Zendikon and turning my land into that 3/3 black ooze creature. Recently, a friend showed me this site where I discovered this: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=254036... A deck completely built around Zendikons and cards like it! I was thrilled, and since I play in a very casual group, I immediately proxied the deck to try it out. Unfortunately, the deck doesn't play as well as I had hoped. It's quite slow and it's hard to have a good defense and offense at the same time. I have already modded the deck slightly (added a few more spells for defense, took away a few special lands, added more basic lands, etc.) and it now sits at 69 cards, and will be play tested tomorrow. I'm hoping there's someone out there who can turn my favorite deck concept ever, into something decent. If more info is needed, please let me know.

this is a land based deck i made not exactly what your looking for but seeing as its land heavy you might be able to get some ideas from it namely i suggest using earth surges since zendikons are still lands

i like that deck for the most part i would a few more dual color lands even though they have have comes into play tapped cause they help with getting the other colors of mana faster in my deck i run amulet of vigor to get around that but mine is a tad differant still i would take your deck and throw maybe instead of 4 of each do 3 and 5 lands that give 2 colors to fill out the extra slot that was made and since its not going to standard if you work out some mana exel for it try out maybe 2 rude awakenings also if your not overly committed to no creatures maybe try a primal titan or a vorinclex thanks for posting that though i got a few ideas im gonna try to work into my land deck namely getting rid of red it doesnt really need to be tri color

Here it is. There's genjus too, they're a little harder to use but IMO a lot better.

Yeah, dual lands are good, so long as you have a way to untap them. I originally did that then looked at the price and ruled it out, as it looked like it was supposed to be made. :P

Giving your stuff shroud with Greater Auramancy may get in the way of the activated abilities that your Genjus give your lands. Just a thought.

@lee-ann
Yeah, I only included the dual lands because I figured he was proxying the decks. Also, I don't think the greater auramancy would have an affect considering that since the enchantment is already on the land you can use the abilities of the enchantment. I could be wrong though.

Not so sure because it doesn't enchant a land, its stands alone.
