The root maze's ability would still work.

Could you please explain why? I'm trying to understand.

"Razorverge Thicket enters the battlefield tapped unless you control two or fewer other lands."

I assume that it can't undo the Root Maze effect since it doesn't use the word "untap" at any point? Beyond that, does the Root Maze apply an effect that overwrites the the Tazorverge Thicket "enters battlefield tapped," with a more absolute one?

basically yesit overrides the thickets ability think of it this way all lands come into play untaped unless it the card sais otherwise so when you have the two or fewer lands when thicket comes into play its the same as a basic land coming into play so the mazes ability can effect it the way i look at it is all lands want come in play untapped and its only natural they should but sometimes the card gods say no and its not always a simple thing to go around them i hope that made some sense
