Deck Challenge - Protean Hydra

Now ive never seen a really good use of this card, and im trying it out with a Ghave, Guru of Spores. Try to make a deck using Protean Hydra that buffs, distributes, or anything else you can think of. Get to it!

Thats a nice deck, but not what i was thinking. Have you figured out a way to buff the Protean by removing counters? That thing was nice though.

You can use the contagion clasps for that. However, you can also use Hornet Stings, if you wanted to fit them in.

Isn't it when a +1/+1 counter is removed? cause that just adds a -1/-1

Yes, but I'm pretty sure that counts as damage dealt.

the -1/-1 and the +1/+1 counter would cancel. the clasp doesnt deal damage but u can still proliferate on the counters on the hydra which is good.
