MTG Vault Deck Challenges
Deck Challenge Extraction + Tribal
So the idea here is to build extraction into a deck or it's sideboard and to use tribal creature spells.
Can be anything going back to vintage rules.
Any amount of colors.
Heres my contribution
Angelic Extraction Deck

curious to see what extraction decks people will make.

That rogue extraction is pretty sweet. I like the earwig squads a lot. Whats your take on isochron with hide/seek ?

The "combo" of putting Seek on the Scepter actually has a nick name: IsoSeek. I may be wrong, but I think it's one of surewhynot's favourite extraction plays (it's on one of his decks that I learned the "combo"). The part I like the most about IsoSeek is it's essentially colourless and thus can be used in any deck :p

Thats cool. Im starting to notice the utility of hide/seek more. I had a mono white angel deck with disenchants but i like these better since ive splashed red and black. Ill be making another deck soon with that. I really like your rogue extraction deck. I think ill do a deck based off of that too soon im starting to get into the word of extraction. How would you say extraction does against agrro and control decks?

surewhynot is a better person to ask about extraction, but I'll help where I can. As far as I understand it, the key part about extraction is knowing how your opponent's deck works so you know what to take out first.

Yeah i think if your able to see your opponents deck your play will change for the better no matter what deck your playing. Extraction like you say benefits from this. Whats your opinion on blanket extract and mill?

Mill can be a very powerful deck strategy, but I've found it's not easy to do properly. Blue is my weakest colour :(
"blanket extraction"?

Blue is my weakest color too,
Blanket extraction as in using tormod's crypts and leyline of void to have players mill into exile. Haunting echos also.
I really enjoy the ability of the hide/seeks, i play tested some hands today and Im really liking the iso-seek. I stoped doing the Iso-silence/chant because it just gets old for my friends. I did run Iso-dawn charm against direct spells.
I really like the B/W colors the most. I checked some of your blue decks, I like the pauper blue deck you did recently.

I personally think that 'blanket extraction' isn't that good (unless you're going against a graveyard based deck [like reanimator or dredge]). I just find it too much work.
I would so run IsoSeek if I had scepters :(
Black or black blue are definitely the better colours for extraction, but black white can be very strong in extraction.
You say you did a vid, could you give me a decklist instead? I live in a 3rd world county and it costs me money to view videos online. Also I'm too lazy to view them (and I'm a bit of a cheapskate :p )

"Blanket" as you call it is generally called Millstraction...But by and large it's not a very effective means of Extraction, and is generally not even considered "Extraction". The best variant of it is Circu Mill, but even that doesn't quite cut it.

Yeah. It doesnt cut it or fit so well. I like the idea but pulling it off while trying to change the board is hard.
