Emperor Ruling question "All players"

When playing a game of Emperor, an Emperor cast Knowledge Pool Does the effect affect the oposing Emperor, or is the Emperor concidered out of range to the ablitiy. Seccondly, Does the That same Emperor have to follow the ruling on the card while it's on the field of they did not have to exile the top three cards?

Since the card does not specify a target, does the spell have a range?:confused:

Whether a player in Emperor is affected by a spell or ability is determined by that range of influence of the person that controls that spell or ability. In the case you described, the Knowledge Pool will initially affect all players (assuming each team has 2 total generals) except the opposing Emperor.

Once that Emperor does become in range of the Knowledge Pool, then they will have to follow the 2nd ability even though they weren't (assumedly) affected by the "Imprint" ability.

The range of Knowledge Pool will be the same as the range of influence of it's controller.
