Dredge vs spells
I've never played with the Dredge ability and was wondering how it works. if I have a guy in the graveyard and someone tries to cast something on it would I be able to use the dredge ability to pull that card back out?

The Dredge ability offers a replacement effect that replaces drawing a card. If you can find a way to draw a card on command (eg: Divination) then you can dredge up a creature in response to graveyard hate. Otherwise the only time you can use Dredge is in place of you draw during your draw step.
