Is imprinting of artifact lands with prototype portal legal?

From what I have checked out in the rules, all lands have a converted mana cost of :mana0:. :mana0: is a value and can be used as :manax:. Correct?

I have also read somewhere an absent mana cost is unpayable/unplayable with imprint. What would be considered an absence of mana cost? Considering cards with a mana cost of :manax: can also be considered :mana0:. Only thing that I can think of that has an absence is token, unless specified by another card.

Its an awesome combo for mana ramping, but I wouldn't want to use it unless its legal.
