I don't think it will work. 3 drops are not tempo creatures even if they are the best at what they do. The reason tempo decks get away with playing 19 lands is because they can play a one drop (and you need at least 8 1 drops to reliably do that), and then let it work while they counter shit (which legacy spells like daze and force make possible).

if you're playing 19 land you're going to miss your 3 drop on 3 and even if you want to play it on 3 your opponent will know and will have mana leak of his own ready. You basically need 4 land and at least spell pierce to play a creature and even then they might have enough land by then to play around it.

Your creature base clearly wants you to play aggro control, not tempo. You need at least 22 land to do that and those delvers really feel out of place in this list (besides they are pretty bad in modern as you can't flip then reliably).

If you want to play delver play something like UR Delver Burn but that's not easy with all the Jund being played and all of them packing 4 Kitchen Finks and additional Obstinate Baloth or even Thragtusk in side. Even those lifegaining shamans ruin the day for burn.

Sorry if this comes over as negative, I'm certain this can be forged into something good with some work. (or I'm wrong which is possible since I suck at Modern)

no i always appreciate your input. i agree with pretty much everything you said.

honestly the original list i made didnt really look too much like that, but then after going over the cards that are legal in modern i had to change alot of it. haha. so your right i shouldnt be calling this a tempo deck at this point

a tempo deck in the sense that im used to doesn't seem possible given the card pool your allowed in modern.

i played a handful of matches online and it did alright. having 3 lands to play knight was working out, but he wasnt getting as big as i was hoping. coming down as a 4/4, but im playing 8 fetches 2 ghost quarter and a horizon canopy, i was hoping to push him a lil more.

giest was great, azorius charm was killin it popping back blockers.

delvers werent flipping, even with 29 spells >_< not having good cantrips is terrible..
which also means this deck isn't as consistent as i was hoping
or as fast as i was hoping.

i need to play around with some things and do some testing
but it definitely wasnt too terrible. i think i can craft something, at least, playable out of this.
