It would be really nice if hybrid mana costs could check manabases or use some similar system to make sure that all of the colors are actually being used in the deck. Quite a few three-color deck's I see are being reported as 4-color simply because of a single card like Deathrite Shaman, Rakdos Cackler, etc. I recognize the issues with mana symbol occurence feature, though - maybe hybrid cards can only add mana symbols which are already present in the deck, but if none of the colors are present, it still adds in both colors? Not exactly sure how feasible that is with your database.
