- if you want to play cheap counterspells play Rune Snag
- There's so much removal out there that Killing Glare and Murder seem like you could do better then that even on a budget. Doom Blade, Ghastly Demise, Go for the Throat, Smother, Terror, Vendetta, Disfigure...
- While Think Twice is not bad spells like Impulse and Telling Time will get you your answers quicker.
- Unsommon is good if you can put a lot of pressure (then it can be a time walk), your deck however is a control deck (not a tempo deck), it needs time to win making unsommon a poor card choice. It doesn't solve your problems and sets you back a card.
- why Dream Twist? you mill 6 cards, so what?
- a somewhat cheap alternative to Damnation might be Crypt Rats. They are pretty great but being a creature they are vulnerable ofcourse.
