Deck Challenge - Leviathan
Alllright. I've got a challenge for you guys.
Every time I look at the card Leviathan (the old one), I can never stop thinking "Man, this card is absolutely useless." So I want you to try and change my mind.
The challenge: Make a deck revolved around the use and abuse of Leviathan. It cannot just be a deck that has the card in it, however. He actually has to be useful.
Alllright....GO!

Well, you guys certainly made me think a lot more of Leviathan.
EDIT: Irrelevant! XD Post BEFORE I start commenting on them!
crackerjack963: Brilliant work, Holmes. Using Azusa and Crucible of Worlds to bring back all the lands you destroyed with Leviathan's attacking and untapping works wonderfully. It seems a bit slow, but hey, this is Leviathan. I give it a 9/10.
mrgoodbytes: Pretty cool. I like the fact that you used a lot of cards that let you bypass the penalty of untapping Leviathan. However, other than Crucible of Worlds, you're really not getting all of the lands you sacrificed back, and eventually you're going to run out if you're playing a long game. I give this a 7/10. (Still really good)
thatoneguy: I kinda like this one, too. Using all those lands in your graveyard to your advantage was a creative move on your part. So I ask, why use Crucible of Worlds when you want your lands to stay in your graveyard to pump up Knight of the Reliquary and Terravore? There's probably method to your madness when it comes to that, but that could be tweaked if you ask me. 8/10.
Irrelevant: Oh, jeez. I really like this one. Using Electropotence and Fling to slap your opponent with 10 damage without even attacking is pretty wicked. Hell, you don't even have to play Leviathan! You just use Buried Alive and then wait for a Necromancy! I really, REALLY enjoy this deck. I'm gonna go ahead and give this one a 9/10.
These are awesome! Keep going, keep proving me wrong! XD

That's my submission. I decided to go "old school" and bring back the Homarid Spawning Bed. The idea is to Flash or Show and Tell into play a Leviathan, and then sac it to get an army of camarid tokens. It doesn't matter that you can't pay the Leviathan's mana cost with Flash, so long as you can pay to activate the Spawning Bed in the same turn.
The deck has a fairly nice tutor engine, as Muddle the Mixture can grab Flash or Spawning Bed. Grozoth is convient in that he can get the Leviathan himself. And finally Noble Benefactor is an old favorite who is more than willing to feed the camarids for you. Top it off with good old fashioned Mulldrifter card draw and this deck has a reasonable chance to see any and all of it's key components.

Awhile ago I stumbled on this site and saw your forum challenging the Leviathan deck challenge. I just actually signed up to the forums so I thought I'd go ahead and post what I ended up making in silent response to your challenge.
better late then never.
let me know what you think. It's win ratio is pretty solid.
