Notification on forum posts/ reposts

Don't know if this is a bug, if it's wanted or if it just happened to me:
When getting an answer on something posted in the forum (or an answer on an answer, I think you know what I mean) I don't get any "News" notification like when someone comments on one of my comments.

I really want to get this working, but it's a pain in the bum. I also want to make it email you notifications, not just show on the website!
