My last concern is with mana. Almost half the cost of the deck is in clifftop retreat and glacial fortress. These were originally added when I was planning more extort and could always use more lands that tapped for white, but now I'm not sure they are worth the cost. It is 3 colors though, so I feel like I need some dual lands and I'm definitely not paying for any of the shock / scry lands. Might be better off just going with the guildgates and take the one turn hit. Especially considering each dual land only has 8 available basic lands that would let it come into play not tapped.

Any thoughts?

I have a very small amount of extort in the deck and was considering more. I'm not sure of how effective it would be though since it's such a small amount of damage (even if I get a few of them stacking) and it costs extra mana to trigger it. Might end up being a good replacement for flamespeaker / kiln fiend though since I'm questioning their usefulness.

Any thoughts?

I'm concerned about the usefulness of flamespeaker and kiln fiend. I'm guessing most of my instants will be played on my opponent's turn, so they would lose their effectiveness attacking. Flamespeaker would still be good as a blocker since he'll have first strike, but ideally my opponent won't be attacking me. Kiln fiend will likely only take one hit before he dies, so he is less effective (though he'll be bigger and has a better chance of taking his foe with him).

Any thoughts?

Looking for any suggestions for additional cards that allow for shenanigans while keeping in line with the theme of the deck. Trying to stay mono-red if possible, but might splash other colors for particularly fun cards.
