No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

too many high cost cards, and too many one-ofs, focus it down more. Although if its for casual play i understand, but its highly unlikely that you'll ever get enough mana to cast emrakul.

Okay well first of all if you are new to the game you need to know one very important thing about building magic decks, which is that every good deck needs to have something that it's good at and focuses on. For example a deck that focuses on life gain, or direct damage, or something like that. One tip i think will help is that you should generally avoid cards like siege mastadon or assault griffin because they are creatures that have no abilities and usually you can find another similar card with an ability that helps out your deck. The reason it's bad to have just one of every card is that, you really have no idea what your going to draw, and therefore you don't really have a gameplan. You need to focus your deck down to a much smaller amount of creatures and just put in more than 1 of each of them. Also if you look at your mana curve you see that you don't have very many low cost cards in comparison to all your mid to high cost cards. This means your going to have trouble getting started and your opponent may already have won because you didn't have the mana you needed to get out your creatures. My suggestion is to look at the cards in your deck, find one you really like, and then build a deck around it by finding other cards that work well with it. To be honest, that's how i(and most people) get ideas for building great decks. Since you're new you're probably going to have to do some research to find the cards you need but eventually you will get familiar with them. Try just browsing around and looking at other peoples decks for awhile then maybe you will get an idea on how to make a good one. Remember: you usually don't want just one of a card in a deck, and you need to find a theme for your deck. Good luck.

okay i thought of something to help you out building decks. i'll give you a theme to build a deck off of and then you post your idea. It doesn't matter if you don't actually own the cards or not, just look for cards in the database of this site or somewhere else if you want. Here's the theme: Green and White Auras. An easy theme for a new player and you can make a pretty powerful deck if you do it right. Here's a hint: Use aura gnarlid as the card you base your deck off of.

ok but i bought the plains/swamp 2011 core set deck and one other booster pack that came with emrakul. I am thinking of getting a new deck are there any that come with planeswalkers or other good cards and then what deck comes with aura gnarlid or was it in a booster pack and im not sure what aura is? and then are any of the cards in my deck now fit for that kind of deck?

thank you a lot for all the help u rock

My advice is not to buy too many premade decks. One or two is okay if your just starting out but you can save money buying single magic cards instead and that way you make sure you get the ones you want. Cardkingdom.com and ebay are good places to buy singles. You can also see if they sell singles at your local comic/card game store. I know of a few decks that actually do come with planeswalkers, one is called "Duel Decks Garruk vs. Liliana" it comes with two planeswalkers. Also "duel decks: elspeth vs. tezzeret." that ones not out yet i believe but it comes out soon. I think you should invest in one of those. They cost $20, but they come with 2 decks. Naturally it will take you awhile to build a good collection since you just started playing, but Deckbuilders toolkit is also very good for new players, you could look into that. Try just buying four aura gnarlids on the internet they're pretty cheap, you can probably buy all 4 for about $1. Good cards to put in the deck that you already have would be mammoth umbra, and maybe whispersilk cloak or armored ascension.
