I did have Konda's Banner and Oathkeeper in the deck at one point. I ended up taking them out to make room for more spells in the deck. After some play testing I may be adding one or both of these back in.

Tenza is definitely good for Red, but I figured the odds on drawing it and Fumiko at the same time were low, so I wouldn't get the full effect from it. In retrospect giving it to the Battle-Mad Ronin for a 2/2 (4/4 w/Bushido) trample might be worth it.

Looks pretty good, though I'd probably see if I could add in Sensei Golden-Tail somewhere.

I agree that Sensei Golden Tails would benefit the deck, but I'm keeping the deck to all humans because I'm an ancient Japanese history buff and wanted a deck that would be as period accurate as possible (Yeah, I know I have moth riding samurai in the sideboard and a female ronin in the main, but at least they are still human). Now if they had a Miyamoto Mushashi card that did the same thing .....

If you really like ancient eastern history try looking for the "Three Kingdoms"-set. It's Chinese, but it's more accurate.

Fair enough, I could see myself doing the same thing. And as Voron said: Portal Three Kingdoms set is really nice if you like history.

You could use Tenza, Godo's Maul in conjunction with Godo himself. As soon as you put Godo into play, you search your library for an equipment card (Tenza) and put it into play. Then equip Godo with Tenza. Suddenly he becomes 6/6 with trample. It gets even better when you realise that whenever Godo attacks for the first time each turn, you can untap it and all Samurai you control and have an additional combat phase afterwards!
