Deck discussion for Beginners Dragon Deck

There is two big problems with this deck.
1. You have way to many cards in the deck. You want to keep the deck size to about 60. It will help with you getting the combos you want.
2. Dragons are high mana cost creatures. Maybe mix it up with some shape shifters like Taurean Mauler. Another problem with the mana cost of Dragons are the high mountain mana symbol cost. It's not good to run a lot of those kind of cards in a mixed color deck.
I am always a fan of seeing dragon decks. Good luck.

Agreed. Way too many cards in the deck. Try cut out some of the Dragons and add changelings from Lorwyn / Morningtide. you could also look at some of the other red mana accelerators (Desperate Ritual, Rite of Flame and Pyretic Ritual).

1. Yeah... too many cards... but i don't know which to put out? I mean... I could make a mono red dragon deck, but all the counterspells saved me sometimes, so I find it pretty hard to put one of them out. Do you have any ideas, which cards i could remove, without hurting the deck overall too much? Or would it really be better to play a fully red deck?
2. I agree, that all the Dragons have pretty high mana costs, but funnily that has nearly never been a Problem to me. Ok, till now i have made only about 10 test games, but when i take a look at the numbers, then i see, that i have a 10% chance to get either Urza's Incubator or Dragonspeakershaman, and because of I can call myself lucky, i found myself about 7 times in within these 10 games with 2 of those cards outside, so i had to pay only 2 mana for most of my dragons. And, of course, Seething song is a great help too!
But it is not me, who has the game experience, but it is you. So I'm asking for your help. I'm keen on reading your comments and hints to make my deck better. (Also the idea with Curiosity is funny, maybe i could give it a try? As a alternate Plan.)

If ya wanna sick combo with Niv-Mizzet, add some Curiosity. Infinite Damage and Draw Combo FTW!

But still take the advice from the guys above me. Also, once you got the Deck to 60 cards, you'll only need 24 Lands.

Ok, taking things out of a deck is always something I hate. Here is my opinion:
4 Lightning Bolts (Focus is on dragons)
4 Couterspells (Sideboard to use as needed)
2 Iron Myr (Sideboard to run against faster decks)
2 Niv-Mizzet (Not a lot of card draw to make it worth while)
2 Mountains
2 Islands
2 Rorix Bladewing (Most useless dragon you have)
1 Mordant Dragon (Need more of him, but my opinion.)
1 Seething Song (Great card for mana, but you only gain two extra mana for costing three.)
I would try running it like this. keep the other cards sideboarded to use when needed sort of things. Just my two cents though (Again). hehe.
