Deck Description

Night falls. The moon rises. The hunt begins.

In this deck, use the blood thirsty power of the vampires to your advantage. With the keyword Bloodthirst, you can cast vampires that have been powered up; for a price of course, your opponent's life! To activate this key ability, simply do damage to your opponents, then cast a hunger-driven vampire to feast on the precious life!

This deck focuses on getting in that damage to activate your ability. Tormented Soul fits perfectly into place, as it cost only one and cannot be blocked! Use it to draw some blood, then let your bigger threats loose on the playing field! Bloodlord of Vaasgoth leads the assault, giving bloodthirst to all your vampires as well as having it for himself. If that doesn't prove enough to bleed your opponent dry, Vampire Nocturnus, Stromkirk Captain, and Necropolis Regent lend a helping hand. You can never be too powerful!

Having trouble dealing with pesky creatures that won't go away? Vampire Nighthawk has the solution. Coming into play with deathtouch, lifelink, and flying, your opponents will think again before attacking. Still not enough? Consume Spirit and other kill spells can take care of the rest, clearing the field for your vampires to swoop in for the kill! Or, a different approach could be taken. How would it feel to turn those pesky creature that work against you into pesky creature that work FOR you? Olivia Voldaren answers the call, dealing damage, powering up, and taking your opponents creatures as your own minions.

Finally, All good decks need a master, and Sorin fulfills his duties masterfully. Use him to activate bloodthirst, gain life, deal damage, add creatures, kill permanents, and even control a player's turns!

The cards in this deck go hand in hand with each other, each drawing off the other. Ultimately, your opponents will suffer. After a beat down from your vampires, they will learn to dread the night!

How to Play

Should be fairly self explanitory. Pumping through evasion. Make sure to get Bloodlord out there before any other beaters such as Nocturnus and Voldaren to ensure you'll have some pretty large Vampires on your side. If you don't have Tormented Soul out Shadow Alley combined with Sorin, Lord of Innistrad can provide some evasion. Nighthawk and Stromkirk also help get some points through. A First Striker and/or Deathtoucher aren't something your opponent will always want to block so take advantage of that. Wipe out early threats and flyers to ensure you can pump your Bloodlord. If no Bloodlord comes your way, Nocturnus, Voldaren, and Regent all provide pretty good beat down while two of them benefit your guys as well as themselves.

Deck discussion for B/R/W Casual Vampires

I love it, i recomend adding a couple blood artists and black lotuses to give it some finesse!
Please check out my counter deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/angelofdisaster000/decks/golgaricounter-control/

Yuup! Thats what I do, just drop a few black lotuses, no biggy. -_____-

Olivia, check, sorin, check, vampire nighthawk, check, stormkirk noble???
Maybe switch out tormented soul for stormkirk. He is considered the best aggro red card in standard right now.

Then get some cavern of souls, declare vampires, and watch that blue player's face turn white.

I choose not to run Noble mostly because of the black topdeck boost from Nocturnus. Tormented Soul is also in there for bloodthirst activation.

I was thinking of putting in Cavern. I just have to take out Consume Spirit which shouldn't be so bad. I could probably replace it with more kill or Unburial Rites.

You could just drop down on your white sources, you only have one thing that uses them, or not, its really just up to you.
Or you might consider some transguild promenades for your white completely. Those enter tap, pay one, but can tap for any color.
Any time I want to run something that doesn't match colors, that is what I do. It makes for very versatile decks.

Or just sideboard them, not every player runs counters.

Not bad! I would definitely not want to run into this deck in a dark alley! I love the deck description, expertly written. I'll keep an eye out for your future decks.
