Deck Description

The main deck reflects what I'm using currently. I'll update it as I change out cards.

This is a Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation focused Zombie horde deck where a half of creatures put into play are token and the other half are spells. It is not an Amonkhet only deck but most the important cards in the deck come from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation. Overwhelm your enemy with gooey parts and sad times.

How to Play

Damage dealt to the opponent can be done through the zombie horde but a few enchantments and sorceries in the deck can secure a win just through en masse zombie spawning. It is a Modern Deck with good win potential but not impossible to defeat. If you don't want to read the in depth then just read the win conditions at the bottom to get a basic idea on how to manage the deck.

There is no such thing as too many zombies.

Break-down of each Card:

Creatures:
- Lord of the Accursed (When your horde is nice and thicc you can use these to boost your undead army and potentially wipe the field with +1/+1 zombies)
- Dread Wanderer (These cards work really well with Wayward Servant. Even though it enters the battlefield tapped, the ability of it reoccurring from the graveyard constantly when you're out of cards outweighs its con. Keep yourself alive)
- Wayward Servant (These are a very important staple to the deck. Because you'll be putting lots of zombies on the field this can boost you while amassing and hurt your opponent)
- Plague Belcher (Very good card, I mean, just read it. Like you need an explanation from me why they should be in your deck)
- Risen Executioner (Good for the +1/+1 and can come back into the game when you're graveyard is full)
- Unbreathing Horde (Good play for when you've got a lot of zombies on the field)

Planeswalker:
- Liliana, Death’s Majesty (Keeping her on the field for as long as you are able will be a good source of zombies and if you make it to +7 counter on her then you can get a really good field wipe and end game tool. Everything she does (is magic) is meant for this deck. Use Anointed Procession to double her output)

Sorceries:
- Moan of the Unhallowed (Good early game zombie tokens)
- Never // Return (Put it in for battlefield control and a zombie token)

Instants:
- Time to Reflect (This is the nope card of this deck. Use this when you really want an opponent creature card dead or open the way to hurt your opponent. A fun strategy to use with these cards is tapping the Lord of the Accursed to put menace on your horde)

Enchantments:
- Liliana's Mastery (Good aggro sorcery and into token spawning. I'd personally use this if you have zombies on the battlefield and your opponent is open to be attacked)
- Anointed Procession (This enchantment is the bread and butter of token spawning. If you can get this on the game early and keep it there then you'll most likely get your horde very quick. Couple this with Wayward Servant or in use with Liliana, Death’s Majesty to pull of some nice damage)

Sideboard:
- The sideboard is just a list of other cards you can put into the deck if you want

Win Conditions:
1. Use 4x Wayward Servants to knock off enemy health by getting Zombie tokens on the battlefield early and spawning Creature Spells and Zombie Tokens with Moan of the Unhallowed and Liliana, Death’s Majesty, in conjunction with Anointed Procession.
2. Boost your zombies with the 4x Lord of the Accursed and 4x Liliana’s Mastery to powerhouse through your opponents defenses

The preferred set up to win can be varied, however, here are some ideal combos to get for a nice game of swarm

- Wayward Servant to set up for damage and health
- Use Moan of the Unhallowed, Liliana, Death’s Majesty and Anointed Procession to get as many 2/2 Zombie tokens on the field afterwards
- Army of the Damned spawns THIRTEEN 2/2 zombie tokens. You can switch this for Dusk // Dawn if you can keep Liliana alive. She won’t bring back all of your 2/2 zombies back into your hand but having 13 into potentially 26 or 39 zombie tokens via Anointed Procession and Army of the Damned and a field wipe will make for a flair of an ending for your opponent (This is of course if you’re able get the 8 mana cost for AotD and if that didn’t kill them, using the 10 mana AofD Flashback ability)
- Use Time to Reflect to either save your zombies or open your opponent for attacking.
- Liliana, Death Majesty -7 ability is good for a nice field wipe too if you decide Army of the Damned over Dusk // Dawn (I obviously take Liliana and Dusk // Dawn together)
- Use Ghoulcaller's Chant to get dead zombies back into your hand
- If Wayward Servant hasn’t killed your opponent after your masse zombie spells, then Liliana’s Mastery will help you do damage and boost your zombie horde. Couple this with some Lord of the Accursed and Risen Executioner and you can potentially be running 4 to 8 power horde
