If you're trying to build an army up for Battalion, Vexing Devil may not be the best turn 1 play and may not have a place in the deck at all... There's an argument for running something else in its place, Rakdos Cackler or Stromkirk Noble maybe? Something cheap for turn 1 play basically. Vexing Devil has its place, but in a more burn-heavy deck I think.
I'm considering it, I was seeing it as an alternate way to play the deck to be honest but I'm wondering if there's a place for them regardless...
Yeah, I think you're right. I'm REALLY looking forward to next Friday now, I should probably get started on the sideboard...
I do wonder if I could run 22 Mountains to get another Pillar in, feels a bit lonely... I'll have to test!

I went 3-2 last night, not bad. In my bias-opinion I was VERY unlucky against bant control, terrible draws both games, I had 9 mountains out in one game! Unfortunately I wasn't anywhere near fast enough to match B/R Zombies. Good fun though, I even got to Vex-Volley for 9 once! I want to try this again, and will continue to run this until I somehow crack or trade for Thundermaw Hellkites! :)
You were 100% right about the Hellion. I should've taken it out, for the most part it was fine and I did even use it once when playing bant control (not that it helped, I was way too slow) but there were several draws when I was stuck with this, a mountain and a Zealot in hand, painful.
Will be taking this to FNM tomorrow, apologies for the sideboard, it's all I have! :P
Bit harsh, be nicer please! Not everybody has a money tree at the bottom of the garden. Also, screw Thragtusk! :P
