Deck Description

Mono white soldiers. Assembled most of this at the prerelease and I'll get the rest when the full set releases this Friday. :) I like suggestions, so anything from the innistrad block or the core set that anyone thinks would help would be good to know. :)

Seems a little pkain to me. I'm one to mix things up and be complicated for no reason though. Haha

I can't deny that it's plain, but it's fun and effective. :) I tried it with blue added in, but once I got my hands on cathars crusade and captain of the watch, most of my blue cards got bumped out. Thanks for the comment, I'll go check yours out. :)

You should do 2 captin of the watch and 2 of the knights that cost 3 and comes with a soldier this way u can have an even earlier start on addig to odrics crusader and have 2 extra

Used to run 4, then I replaced them with elite inquisitors. I prefer to drop a falcon, then inquisitor, then crusader, and then a captain's call. After that I usually lay a cathars crusade followed by the watch captain, and I'd rather get 4 creatures with vigilance after taking a few hits than getting more fodder to chump block with, especially if I never get to land the captain.

very interesting. I like th cloudshift with the captain, champion, and commander. particularly if you have the commander out and cloudshift the captain. you get 2 more creatures, and your creatures get +3/+3 until end of turn.
only thing that I might add is some life gain. maybe healer of the pride, or something along those lines. it is very strange to see a mono white deck with no life gain...

all in all I like. :) good deck.

Thank you :) good point, I'll probably end up adding the healer. I only main deck 3 each of cathars crusade and cloudshift and only run 2 captain (just a bit too expensive) so it shouldn't be too hard to fit them in. Also, I was thinking of geist honored monk. It only gets spirits, but the flying can help and vigilance is always nice. Do you think the monk would help?

It could, but it's up to you.

Also, the crusader gets pumped by everything too, so... Flickering the monk puts out two more tokens every time. But, like I said, it is up to you.

Nice Soldier deck! I would try to add more soldier pumpers besides the Captain of the Watch. Altough, I am not very sure if you have more in a standard format (as this deck seems to be). I am not that much convinced wit the safe passage, but that is personal taste, because that can save you in many matches.

Here you can check my soldier deck, maybe you can find something of use: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=378850
