Deck Description

Fun little hydra deck. Untested (don't have all of the cards) but seems like a fun idea. Tons of damage from either hydra, ramp to make them huge, simic charm for protection, ooze flux and bioshift for insurance. Ghor clan and savageborn together are just mean. Vorel is kinda crazy too, either doubling savageborn every turn or quadrupling primordial.

Deck discussion for RUG Hydras

pretty solid decklist man. there havent been too many posted today that have intrigued me. are you actually building this for play? if so, can you let us know how it runs against the Bant hexproof and other top decks in the current metagame?

the only thing I might add is Rancor to give Ooze token trample.

Good call on rancor. Whay would you take out? And I'm actually using a different rug deck right now (titled carpet midrange on here) so I don't have free lands right now to build this, but I have the rest of the stuff. If I get bored of my other deck ill try this out for a week at fnm and let you know how it goes. :)

SOLID! Sideboard alpha authority to protect Hydras?

Hmm...yes, this could work. Maybe when ooze flux doesn't cut it. When hydras die I just make a giant token in response, so protection isn't completely necessary
