Deck Description

this is a revamp of a previous deck in response to a deck challenge.
it got the name from a player on octgn.

isochron scepter is strictly used for boomerang
add the voltaic key and warped devotion and the combo is done
once the combo is out target their lands the second high priority threats are off the field

the previous version of this deck was outragous so im going to try to tighten it up.

Deck discussion for what a blue black is supposed to be

When you say that Isochron Scepter is used strictly for Boomerang, I wonder why echoing truth isn't viable. I would think that if given the opportunity to echoTruth someone's collection of eldrazi spawns for 2 mana, thus forcing them to discard virtually their entire hand, well... I just don't see how that isn't better.

I suppose boomerang affords you the power to return their lands to their hand, which is powerful enough early game to be the better card, but I would do one of each if I could manage to drop both.

The other thing that concerns me is that Isoscepter is insufficiently protected from counterspells, you have a whopping 3 counterspells, which imo isn't enough. if you lose your scepters you stand to be significantly disadvantaged mid and late game since your spellpower doesn't ramp any other way except by spamming caress and devotion. Even if you could get that many of them, you would either lack the mana to play followup spells or lack the mana to cast them in the first place. I would either lean harder to control spells or wallet-tank some more scepters into this deck.

too much more counter is not an option. if all you do is counter shit that doesnt make for an interesting game...this is a deck that doesnt see tournament play and is only run in casual. if i get late game then i can boomerang my scepters if they get threatened. echoing truth is far less of an option for the isochron so that people actually play out multiples... are you gonna put a shitload of multiples on the field if i have a truth on a scepter? i think not.

also if i pull a second isochron then a counter can go on it. i did throw a third isochron in the mix in the actual deck i just forgot to put it here. appreciate the comments none the less.
