Deck Description

Combo Deck. Just something I brewed up. Don't know how it's going to play but really looking forward to finding out. Feel it's a little weak because all the artifact hate in modern but still happy with the combo

How to Play

Wanting to get unlimited colorless mana T4 This is how,
T1) land tap play Serums Vision
T2) land tap out play Renowned Weaponsmith
T3) land tap Weaponsmith then tap a island to play Dream's Grip untapping Weaponsmith. Now tap the two untapped lands and Weaponsmith to play Everflowing Chalice with three charge counters in it( if needing to play aggressive you can play steel hellkite here also)
T4) land tap weaponsmith and two islands play Voltaic Construct leaving two mana to play Ensoul Artifact on Everflowing Chalice. Tap the chalice giving you three colorless mana use two to activate Voltaic ability to untap Everflowing and repeat giving you unlimited colorless mana. To play very large Hangarback Walker or Chimeric Mass. Then equip which ever one with Sword of Vengeance. Ether one with trample will win you the game. This is my plan with this deck

Deck discussion for T4) Combo Win

That's a very round about way to get infinite mana. Here's a faster way that only uses two cards:

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala

With both out, pay {U} tp turn Pili-Pala into a blue artifact creature.
Tap Pili-Pala for {C}{C}.
Use the {C}{C} to untap Pili-Pala and get one mana of any colour.
Repeatedly tap and untap Pili-Pala for as much mana as you want. (Each untap nets you one mana)

That's awesome thanks for the info. So this combo is fast and more efficient. Just needing two cards I might be changing this up. Just how expect is this Pili-Pala Grand Architect combo in modern? When I build I try to make it uncommon for the cards to be used together. Greatly appreciated the info.

It's known, but like most 'infinite' mana combo's, not used. Three reasons for this: 1) something to reliabley use the mana on; 2) a reliable way to fetch the combo pieces; and 3) a way to reliabley protect the combo and what you use it on.

That said, while the combo pieces are both creatures, the standard creature removal most Modern decks use can disrupt it, the same can be said about any creature based combo, including ones that do see play. Going forward, a protection package (counter spells, hexproof granting spells, etc.) and search / draw will be key.

That is true. So looking over this I need to find a way to control more so can protect the combo and survive until the combo is assembled.
