Deck Description

I've recently started playing MTG again just for fun with my buddy on a weekly basis on evenings over beers!

I've been having fun and been buying some boosters and cards here and there. Been toying with this idea of a Green-Creature/Blue-Control deck for a while, I've got most of the cards for this deck build but before I order/buy the rest I'd like some constructive criticism on this build.
I'm not looking to win tournaments and we haven't started playing with gods or planeswalkers yet. (like I said, just for fun!) also we are trying to keep a 20/20/20 ratio when we play! (obviously here I've got 23 lands)**Deck is updated now to 60 cards and mixed ratios :)**

I think that the mana is good as I've been hitting it steadily during my plays, which is why I wanted some Hydras as finishers.

How to Play

I'm thinking of playing this deck with creatures to deal the damage and my blue/green spells to keep my opponent at bay!

Let me know what you think! need tips for a new player!

This deck seems rather badass!
You have been able to create good deck out of boosters! It seems to have everything in it's place. Early game creatures? Yes. Some removal for annoying cards? Yes. Game finishers? Yes.

So, you want to cut it down a little bit, huh? Guess you could remove single Naturalize.
Also I wonder the meaning of Gorgon Head in this deck. What do you do with it since you are able to get such a big creatures? You should remove the heads and add more big creatures to replace them.
Remember, these suggestions are just and only mine, so I'm totally cool with it if you choose not to edit this deck at all.
Like I said, it is a pretty powerful deck after all.

Cool I'm glad you left a coment on this! I'll try your suggestions out on a few matches see if it works out, if not then so be it keeping it as is! The gorgon's head does seem a bit excessive you're right :) Feel free to use this as a base for one of your AWESOME budget decks! (If you never created such type deck before)

Wow super nice! Thanks Northern (if I may call you that) I'll keep looking for your awesome deck postings to give me ideas for my next deck :)

Since I only started playing this again only about a month ago, yes I'm very much new and it's fun to see that a community like this built up over the years that I've been away from the game!

Do I mind if you call me Northern? Not at all.
I have couple of nicknames around here. Northy is what I prefer, but some other examples are Warlord, NorWar, WarWar (PhyrexianPossum uses that one)...
Use what nickname you ever want.

Though I'm gonna call you just Gee, if you don't mind.

I've been in this community...
Something about 1,5 years?

...and, most people don't know this, but I've played Magic only for a little bit over two years...

that's quite alright then! thanks for your suggestions! I'll definitely take a look at some of your decks for some ideas because I think I want my second deck to be a human red/white with combos that just keep on adding (something like inspired that every time I cast a spell on the creature it boosts up!)

Heroic-ability?
If you want, I can cook up red-white Heroic-deck...

It can be standard or non-standard, if you want.

what's the difference? I think standard is 60 cards correct?

you are definitely a huge help!

and yes heroic....I think inspired is when they untap...

Let's go trough couple of things:
-Yes. Inspired is ability that triggers when it untaps. Heroic triggers when you cast a spell that targets it.
-Standard is a game mode in MtG. It is played in most tournaments. It is a game mode where you can use only the most newest cards.

...so, if you want me to create a Heroic-deck for you, you may choose will I create it completely standard. If I create it standard, you can get those cards more easily, since all standard cardsets can be found in your nearest store.
If I make it non-standard, I'll be able to add some older (and awesome) cards into it, but you will probably need to order some cards from the internet if you wish to create it.
