My first merfolk deck was a sorry attempt at the tribal type, so alas, I have remade the deck and it works MUCH better.

sleep against aggro is really needed

remember aether vial is restricte or even banned

lord, reejerey AND souvereign is too much i would replace 2 souvereigns by wake thrashers

and you MUST MUST have counterspells to protect your lord of atlantis

but it doesn't look too bad
although the counterspells really are needed

I'm pretty sure Aether Vial is legal in Legacy, which is what I play. But I could be wrong. I could sideboard sleeps, but I wouldn't know what to sideboard them out for, especially if I replace two sovereigns with wake thrashers. I also don't know what to take out for some counter spells. I figure with 4 cursecatchers, I would only need 2 to 3 counterspells, but I don't know what to take out. Thanks for the feedback though

If you're not concerned with budget, adding four copies of crypttic command is a very good idea.
definitely expand the noncreatures, and get rid of aquitect's will.
