Heard about the new Pioneer format and decided to see what was legal. Went looking and happened to find a massive dinosaur for 3 mana and saw fling was in the card pool. Decided to build a red/black aggro-suicide deck and this kind of morphed into what I have here.
The general idea is to control board state and hit with some fairly beefy creatures. Generally the madness plays are triggered by flipping the Heir and having a Regisaur out. Pretty straight forward win condition however there are some trigger interactions that you can manipulate to your favor when necessary.Using the discard triggers/activations so that you can either trigger the Asylum Visitor or not. Example: (Assumes 1 card in hand, I have been able to do this with 2 cards as well and it doesn't have to be madness cards) Untap, Upkeep, Trigger Regisaur to play Fiery Temper, then trigger Asylum visitor to gain an extra card for the turn. The same interaction can be achieved with Heir and activation of her ability. Additionally, triggers can be stacked the other way with Regisaur to avoid losing life if needed. Also, remember to respond to the Regisaur trigger by playing your flings if you have one in hand and are worried it will have to be pitched to the Regisaur. Obviously that would not be ideal if you cannot kill with 7 damage, so play it smart. Control the board early with Stomp and Fatal Push. Control the board mid-late with Fiery temper (not ideal but if you need it, it is there), Swift End, and Fling (also not ideal but sometimes using it on a creature is the best option). Added Shadowspear to deal with Hexproof and Indestructible creatures. It also has the benefit of giving my creatures life-link and trample so that is a positive in my opinion.Updated the sideboard after two small tournaments. I will most probably adjust after more play-testing.
