Deck Description

I saw Retribution of the Ancients the other day and instantly thought that alot of Cards in Magic runs on +1/+1 counters. I couldn't point my fingers at what exactly would be the best combo with Retribution but it was right under my nose, Undying.

So basicly this is a Undying modern deck, the center piece is Retribution of the Ancient, with loads of Cards too sacrifice thoose Undying creatures and create effect for different purposes.

How to Play

Well a good hand would typically involve both Retribution and either Young Wolf or Strangleroot Geist. The Deck is very focused on Green mana early on for creatures and Black mana for Thoughtseize and Retribution.
The key too survival is a stable board state, have your Undying creatures out and a Black mana for Retribution as much as possible. Of course there is the Thoughtseize too let you know the hand of the enemy and take out the worst threats too your boardstate.
The mana is typically provided by Search for Tomorrow or Sakura-Tribe Elder, since this is somewhat a Tempo deck just make sure too get alot of mana fast against slower opponents.
The Bombs of the deck of which you primarily win the game with is Vorapede, but sometimes you might get stuck in a gutter and there is Cards like Tar Fiend against opponents with huge Card advantage, Disciple of Bolas against burn/discard decks, Champion of Stray Souls as the decks 'Failsafe' guy and too bring back thoose who doesn't un'die like Disciple and Sakura. Chord of Calling to bring all thoose nice Guys needed at the right time to the battlefield, im looking at you Ob Nixilis.

You should begin too lay huge pressure on the oppenent five turns within the game, and then there is Killing Wave too keep the opponent off balance.

Hold out the four first turns, always build up for future turns, keep that in mind and the deck should get you far.
