life gain isnt that good. creature removal/control would be better. there is no creature removal and no real big creatures (besides ajani pridemate/serra ascendant who can be removed/killed easily) just not that great of an idea, and too easy to swarm. i cant see this deck beating many good decks.

Why do people like lifegain? A card that does something powerful by itself AND has lifegain (Umezawa's Jiite, any card with lifelink, Thopter Foundry, etc.) is good. A card whose only purpose is to make you gain life is stupid. Something you'll find out eventually is that (usually) there's only one thing that matters in a game of magic: your opponent's life total. Yours doesn't matter! Unless you're playing a mill or poison deck.
Actually, does anyone play poison decks? Ever?

Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard! The more life you have, the more damage your opponent has to deal to you. Not to mention some of the creatures in there become better as the life gets higher.

Is a poison deck even capable of winning?

you might want to add soul wardens as another way to gain life

add soul warden or soul's attendence and you only need 3 ajani goldmane

Nice, but its missing some things that would make it a bit better I.E. Faith's Fetters, Test of Endurance, Felidar Sovereign, Divinity of Pride, Boon Reflection, the works I give it a 6.

Cradle of Vitality would be worth a second glance in this deck as well until it rotates out of standard later this fall...

i must say here that 4 ajanis are too much... what if you have 3 in hand and one on the field??
i'd say 3 is enough and for the cost i'd say 1-2 sun titans just for the damn fun of the serra ascendant
