Deck Description

Need help. Deck needs to exploit the infinite combo between sanguine bond and exquisite blood. These are the cards I have now. Suggestions, opinions, general comments, all helpful!

How to Play

So far the game plan is to hold off the opponent until sanguine bond and exquisite blood are both active. Either by being drawn or tutored diabolically, then upon playing the counterpart to the other, play midnight charm in the same turn, to prevent suspicious competitors. Choose to deal one damage to target creature and to gain 1 life thus beginning the infinite combo towards the others' demise...straightforward, however predictable.

Deck discussion for Infinite Death

Sorry if i get this wrong but you need to let the other player lose 1 life,
not a creature he controls. Would go for a cheap life drain card instead of charm.
Or if you ad white you can start the chain with gaining life.
Festering goblin is great early to take away some small creatures

That's one way to do it, sanguine bond lets me gain life to start it which midnight charm does. I had thought about doing it the other way but I like midnight charm for flavor, but I'll definitely put like suffer the past in SB

This combo doesn't work with rules. There's something in the rules that says those two cards don't work together
Exquisite Blood and sanguine bond.

Sure they work, why not?
Anyways cool deck! This is just for fun i guess. Did you try it in real life?
You cant protect the combo from beeing countered and its the only way to win.
Sangromancer would be a big threat in here cause of that many discard spells

mix it with another color, best beat is red. so u can get dreadbore in the mix with hero's downfall more creature removal. with easy burn cards.

It's a perfectly legal and exploitable combo with plenty of chances to stop it. There are much worse unavoidable combos

Haha nice! This is my favorite combo for black, to me it defines the color, very hard to pull off, but when you do there's nothing anyone can do about it. I like midnight charm for the funny factor, oh I gained 1 life? You lose the game. And then laugh manacially lol

i love that midnight charm! nice choice! did you know about pharika's cure? would also fit nicely!

so you have to stay alive till both combo pieces are on the board, both cost 5 mana and should not be countered.
what about being fast and ramp them out with nykthos shrine? you could use underworld connection instead of diabolic tutor, it helps you find the cards you want and gives you 2 devotion. also the vampire gives you 2 devotion as well as sanguine bond once it is in play.
im sure you find some other cheap creatures or enchantments that cost like 2 black mana in exchange of the rats for example.

maybe its a bad idea, it just came into my mind since i loved the black devotion deck back in theros times...

also i wouldnt play 4 hero's downfall, i guess 2 is enough. better take doom blades or disfigure

Alright updates done! I liked your advice with nykthos and finding another creature so I took a note from my other black deck and put in pulse tracker and spiteful returned, they do unstoppable life loss when attacking, I kept disentomb so I can get them back when I need them too. I think it looks much cleaner and more focused. Thanks for the help!

id really love to see blood artist in here as a 4 of id think it would aid the combo a lot it really just fits just do the one damage it sets the combo off

I like blood artist a lot, the only reason I didn't have it in here to begin with is that he or another creature has to die to make it happen where as spiteful returned and pulse tracker do damage that can't be stopped. It definitely has a place here though, albeit the sideboard for now. Thanks for the suggestion though!
