Deck Description

A very very deadly and cheap infinite combo. Usually infinite combos require a lot of setup, this one only takes two cards. Devoted Druid and Quillspike.
T1: Forest
T2: Swamp Devoted Druid
T3: Forest Quillspike
T4: Make Quillspike into a 40000000/40000000 and Rite of Consumption

GG

Other than that I found a few really nice complementary cards. Flourishing defenses puts a 1/1 token into play for every -1/-1 counter that gets put on one of your creatures. This in turn goes well with Witherscale Wurm and Deity of Scars. Rancor can help remove the -1/-1 counters from Witherscale wurm, or make your Quillspike a infinite/infinite with trample. Jarad's Orders will help you find what you need for your combo.

In addition a splash of control from Go for the Throat and some acceleration through rampant growth (and devoted druids) for the big creatures.

To survive until you can combo/put out a big mofo Gloom Surgeon, also Gloom Surgeon + Rancor on T3 is nothing to joke about...

Last but not least Varolz, the Scar-Striped goes great with Witherscale Wurm and Deity of Scars as they both have much higher power than their mana costs. He can also help with stalling.

It is a casual deck and will do VERY well against decks with little control, and can win against a bit of control if you make the necessary adjustments. What I like most is that you are not entirely relying on your (insanely powerful) combo, both the Devoted Druid and Quillspike have great synergy with other cards in the deck, albeit Quillspike can be a bit dead weight if you are unlucky.

How to Play

How to perform your combo best when you have Devoted Druid and Quillspike in your hand and enough mana to cast both is quite complicated. I'd say in general cast both if you are holding Rancor to attack next turn, and only cast Devoted Druid (summoning sickness through tap effect) and next turn Quillspike if you have Rite of Consumption.

Consider waiting if you can before playing your combo until you have a relative threat like Deity of Scars on the board to bait their removal. You need to make the decision to wait or not based on what you know about their deck.

When you use "Jarad's Order" you need to think about what you want in your graveyard most and what creature you need in your hand most.

Do I need a big guy but I want a combo piece and I do not need a blocker? Off to the graveyard you go Gloom Surgeon.

Do I need a combo piece and I have Varolz on the board? Easy, take my piece and send either Deity of Scars or Witherscale Wurm to the graveyard. (or maybe even a low mana costing creature to boost Varolz equipped with Rancor next turn?)

etc.
You can chose to think about a lot of things when playing this. Have fun!
