Deck Description

**FLAVOR TEXT**
"I don't know how long its been. The scratches on the wall's I used to tell time wore away and now I fear of having nothing to live for. But there is one thing that I fear more... and it's footsteps grow louder with each passing night."

Meditum Price is 666 for obvious reasons

(Warning this deck is ilegal in the United States for causing too many opponents to commit suicide at the table. It was crazy. Use deck with caution.)
Azorius need's to sit down and let mono black take the throne of control deck's once again. :D

How to Play

**LIKES ANC CRITIQUES ARE VERY APPRECIATED**

Ahhhhhh, anyone have any nightmares- I mean nostalgic memories about the good ol' days?(:
For some of you newer guys to magic, let me explain:

This deck is built around the card pox, which is probably one of the more notorious card's to ever be printed. The idea of the card is that it ruins the game, setting back you and your opponent on a massive scale. D:
So why play a card thats gonna ruin both sides of the field?? Well, this deck is built on surviving through the bare minimum, which the opponents deck (especially in legacy) is gonna be crying to have a mox or crazy combo on the field :D

The goal is for the first few turns to just play minor control cards and if you can ritual into a pox or death cloud. But once the field has been thrashed for a little bit and your opponent has minimal options left, you have 8 different massive demons/horrors that would be happy to ruin his day(:
Been working on this deck for a while and was inspired by Suitangi's mono black control budget deck:D
hope you guys enjoy!(:

...i don't want to sleep now...this is pretty scary. and could really even be fast enough to get the obliterater out turn two which is always nasty. i have to recommend a couple kill spells to wipe the persecuter out a little easier after the opponent is at 0 life. go for the throat would be good as (if meant to be a pro deck) i know a lot of decks run surgical extraction in the side board or main deck. if not completely ignore this

Tombstalker would serve you significantly better than Persecutor, and lowers his own mana cost just by being in this type of deck. He's a little awkward in multiples though. I would sub two Persecutors for two Tombstalkers.

This deck seems pretty solid. The only thing I can think to add is maybe sb some spot removal and/or hand control? Hero's downfall, thoughtseize, duress, etc.

Cabal Therapy reigns supreme in legacy decks with Bloodghast. The various pox effects should have the opponent sacrificing every creature, but it is still weak to planeswalkers.

Maybe it's just me but Deathcloud seems kinda out of place because you're either trying to land a huge bomb early or slowly draining the hope for their deck. In both cases, having you sacrifice just as many things is counterproductive.
In other words, Deathcloud is the last thing in this deck I'd want to play. Not that it's bad, it's a very terrifying card, but everything else in your deck does the same exact thing but better (either it's cheaper mana or simply more powerful). Maybe consider adding a few Nether Traitors as another sac outlet for Culling the Weak, Smallpox, and big Pox rather than just Bloodghast.
Overall it's an outstanding deck and perfectly epitomizes Black's slogan "Victory at any Cost."

Or perhaps play Enchroach? Really stick it to their manabase before it can even get started haha

I would agree. But I would say that would be where he could slot in some of the point discard other posters mentioned earlier. 3 Cabal Therapys would serve well.

One of my very favorite cards to use with Abby is Rite of Consumption, so that's my suggestion for sure. And yeah, ya gotta ditch the 4 Strip Mines =/

strip mines are gone, didnt know they were banned D:
ad rite of consumption would be a bit too situational in my opinion, but i might side board 2 death clouds for low field creature/lands decks and play two just for fun(:

I understand the whole strategy, and might I say, it is ingenious. However, I don't see your idea in inserting Abyssal Prosecutor. I don't understand why you would want to place a temporary safeguard for the other player out onto the field.

He can use any of 19 sacrifice effects on himself and sacrifice it when he is done using it.

You are the meanest person alive in magic. How many times have you made people flip the table with this deck?

I've only played it at kitchen table because I had to proxy a few cards due to budget reasons, but I am currently almost finished with the deck (as in gathering cards) and let me tell you, I've had people straight up quit the game on third turn when I third turn pox fourth turn obliterator/persecutor(:

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the current medium price for this deck is $666. Coincidence? I think not!
