Jace is banned in modern format... ...this deck is weak against aggro, control & infinate comboes... ...'cuz you play only creatures...

yeah i found that out when i went against a aggro then a control i won against the aggro by luck but i was raped by control :( but isnt jace legal in legacy?

i could if i did want to play modern put emrakul in here just to side it out with th harabaz druid i could bring him out in no time what would you replace jace with?

JTMS is legal in legacy. But this deck will not get you good results. Legacy is a fierce format. The longer it takes you to set up the less chance you have of winning. I would drop JTMS and put in Jace, Memory Adept which is still legal. Ally deck are always fun. Nice deck

thanks would emrakul be ok to put in here? or what type of angel would you consider to put in this deck

I think if you dropped the JTMS and genesis wave throw in dissipate and mana leak. Cut down the creatures just alittle to add in some more removal more or less stall time to get everything rolling itll do good. Add leyline of sanctity and tormod's crypt in sideboard they are for certain decks and much needed. Its a good deck no doubt alittle tweaking and it will hold it own.

Ya lol legacy will kill you modern is still fierce but you don't get a turn 1 Iona or griselbrand

0

is there a way to do that? a turn one iona?

0
Posted 16 November 2012 at 03:47

In legacy? Yes dark ritual entomb reanimate (not just Iona any fatty of choice except emarkul)
It happens turn 1 normally turn two thou lol
Dredge is just as fast capable of swinging for 22 on turn 1 I've seen it but I don't know how it works its been a while
And there's all kinds of similar shenanigans in legacy allies built by anyone can't keep up
The only tribe I know of is goblins in legacy ideally swinging for lethal consistently despite interruption turn 4

ah alright....that just made me want to kill myself lol

Lol legacy does that if you can't do something stupid don't even try lol
It's the land of combo and speed tons of "potential" turn 1 or 2 whether ANT (ad Naseuem tendrils) storming you to death or reanimation or goblins hitting kreenko with haste and a goblin lord turn 3 spittin out hasty tokens it gets dumb

Ok, i have to get this out of the way before commenting: personally, I hate allies. There, i said it. With that in mind...

I think you are way too creature heavy. You have the 3 best ally colors, but it seems like you are too unfocused, and that hinders the overall flow and speed of the deck.

y do u hate allys?

the deck is quicker than what most ppl think its one of those decks that u either have to go against or use it to see what it could do but i can understand y u would say that

I built 2 ally decks, when they were standard. One was W/G that pummeled people into submission... And the other... It was a W/U mill deck. And it was a force to be reckoned with. It could win a 3-1 game like it was taking candy from a baby. That deck got banned from my play group because no one wanted to play against it. A friend of mine has it now... Anyways...

allies, when done right, are way overpowered. Not fun to play against in casual... For me at least.

ok i get what your saying yeah this deck is a little of both since you were a previous ally player how strong is this deck in your opinion? that is a lil bs that ur deck got banned a burn control deck against allys will destroy them

0

well, in all honesty... it is way too creature heavy, and none of your creatures have any abilities that could substitute for the support that instants or sorceries can provide. in my opinion you should trim down on the creatures, and focus a tad more. you have some mill cards, and not a lot to back them up. Mill is one of those things that if it isn't the whole deck... then it generally gets in the way of the rest of the deck. so... you should either drop the mill, or focus more on it. Either way though you should add some non-creature spells. to give support either way.

This is a decent allies build(much better than your RAGE deck or your counterhell) but you need to make it either extended or modern legal, you will never win against a decent legacy deck with this.

I only started playing magic about a year ago, and mostly only play with a group of Friends and never saw an Ally deck. This looks awesome. I would not want to go up agaist it. You can have all your Allies get super big. I would give you advise but I don't know much about legacy. NIce deck.

so far legacy would rape this deck lol its too slow but in modern it could do well and dude believe it or not ally's are really cheap the price range on this deck it wrong except the lowest amount on it and the only reason its almost 300 is because of jtms and cavern of souls and thanks for your comment

I was looking at this deck earlier and it reminded my of this alittle http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=407146 . This isn't my deck but it is very well constructed. The theme is Samurais. I think it deserves more likes than it has.

I run an ally deck too and this is pretty awesome but your missing one of the most powerful :(. The minotaur haha. He gives +1/+1 counters to ALL your allies whenever he (or another ally) enters your side. Maybe change this to a red/black/green? then you can put him in, focus your deck a bit more, and add a few cards that give all creatures you control haste :))

On a side note, a great deck concept that you might like is a deck where your turn doesn't end, until you win. It's my infinite turns deck haha. Here's a rough draft of the idea.

First of all, I'm really glad an Ally deck made it to the front page. Personally, I love Allies, and have spent a lot of time putting a legitimate deck together. Yours, while you have a nice idea with the ramp, seems to be too creature-heavy. This would never stand up in Legacy. Your best bet, is to drop the Mind Sculptures and turn this into Modern. You are also not focused enough. If you want to ramp, then focus on that. Drop the mill and some of your heavier creatures. Add some spells with flashback in case you Genesis Wave through them. Add something to ramp into (I see the Iona in your sideboard.) You also don't have one of the most useful Allies in here: Hada Freeblade. He's a one-drop who gets bigger with each ally drop. So, just suggestion-wise:

- 4 Kazandu Blademaster (Too white-heavy)
- 4 Turntimber Ranger (Too heavy in general)
- 4 Halimar Excavator (Don't worry about mill)
- 2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor (Not Modern)

+ 4 Hada Freeblade
+ 1/2 *Bombs*
+ 8 *Flashback spells (Artful Dodge or Cackling Counterpart or Increasing Savagery or Rally the Peasants or Think Twice)

Overall, good deck. Could use a bit of work. Check out my American Allies:

thanks man ppl have bin telling me this deck is to creature heavy but im killing on turns 4-7 most of the time i put the jtms in there just because i opened a wordwake pack and got 2 in one but im getting adepts so i can make this modern and hopefully make this a deck everyone will know....so far the deck runs great but i will consider your advice on your suggestions thank you again

I would honestly suggest cutting out all of the blue in this deck- the blue cards don't add much and JTMS is banned in Legacy. You could add in Path to Exile and Ondu Cleric instead which are very helpful. You also need Hada Freeblade in here. It is the best printed Ally. Compare it to Tarmogoyf. Tarmogoyf is a 2 mana 0/1 that eventually becomes about a 4/5. In a dedicated Ally deck like this, this is a 1 mana 6/7. You need that in here.

You really need some kind of removal in this deck, and milling with one creature doesn't count. As much as I hate to be negative, that Halimar Excavator win is never going to happen.

0
Posted 04 December 2012 at 02:14

actually the excavator is pretty effective of a card. particularly if you can get more than one out at a time.

0
Posted 06 December 2012 at 22:53

actually it has i put the shape shifter in there exactly for that reason and i actaully draw them frequently and with harbaiz and g-wave it helps its not a garrentie win with mill but i do have another way of winning in here so far ive played 5 ppl with this deck

1st deck elves 2-0 won by mill twice

2nd deck knights 2-0 one with mill the other by taking their life out

3rd deck werewolves 2-0 both mill again

4th deck goblins 2-1 won by dealling damage and gaining life this was the hardest deck so far and i won by luck on the third round

5th deck token aggro 2-0 1 mill win the other by life

Its kinda the point in an ally deck. Cheers
