Deck Description

This is a different approach for the reanimation strategy. It mainly relies on the draw-discard mechanic to send the reanimation targets to the graveyard, boosting its playness efficiency with the extra draws.

MECHANIC
Turn 1 amazings one-drops Careful Study and Hapless Researcher are the main gears.
Entomb is so good that couldn't be out and even Cabal Therapy (more on that later), can make you achieve your goal.
With 14 instances of one-drop grave enablers (8 with card replacement) and 10 targets, you'll have a target on the graveyard right from your opening hand, waiting for a reanimation next turn! Hapless researcher is also a creature, and it will save your butt in blocking or sacrificing situations, don't underestimate him!
Ideas Unbound may not be the best mechanic in the beginning, but it can give you some fresh air in the late-game, when you'll be likely cardless. As its effect lets you cast the drawn cards until its discard effect takes place, all your usable spells are 1-2 manas to cast, giving you a good card advantage.
10 reanimation spells will flush to you as you draw and won't be absent. Snapcaster mage is also there for the mid-game reanimation flashbacks or counter flashbacks.

CONTROL
As the deck is also blue, counterspells couldn't miss, and even those will help your quest. Rites of refusal is a strong counter and helps you also discard your targets.
For active protection I opted for Cabal therapy over even thoughtseize, because it syncs with the use of hapless researcher and snapcaster mage for the flashbacks. Remember you can also name a card in your own hand and discard it!

REANIMATION TARGETS
The reanimation targets are usually a personal choice. When I started building this deck, I was still more a collector than a player, and I wanted a reanimator just to play with my legendary Angels, Demons and monsters. That explains Akroma (a classic) and Hellkite Overlord still lingering here. I used to play also with Avatar of Woe, Reya Dawnbringer and even Polar kraken (LOL!). But now it uses more efficient creatures like Jin-gitaxias. Iona is mandatory (the new Akroma), Platinum Angel is another useful classic, Griselbrand is a recent addition and it's totally in sync with the deck's mechanic.

LANDS
Well, if most of your creatures are Legendary, why don't use the awesome Legendary lands of Kamigawa that boosts Legendary creatures?? To make targets for Wasteland, one might say. Let's not be so negative :-)

How to Play

In the description I focused onto how the deck works, but let's not forget that the great fun in this deck is to see the despair in your opponent's face when you attack him with a flying, trampling 8/8 right on your second turn, making that $150 Tarmogoyf helpless, or before the opponent could do anything, impede him to cast any spells!
In the opening hand, make sure you have a reanimate spell and a draw-discard spell. If a target isn't in it, wait for one to show up and be discarded! If you need, counter some unexpressive spell to throw the guy into the grave.
If some piece of the combo doesn't show up, draw spells will show, making you research the library for it. Snapcaster mage can be used to flashback the casted draw spells.
Snapcaster Mage only counts in the moment it enters the battlefield, after that it can be sacrificed to the Cabal therapy. And then, it can be reanimated to bring back more spells! Dont forget you can use Animate Dead and Reanimate on your opponent's creatures as well!
If some entomb appears right on the start, I would save him for later, nobody knows how your opponent is going to respond, and then you can search for the right creature at the moment. Same for snapcaster, wait until you run out of options and needs to cast back a reanimation.
Shizo and Minamo helps you with creatures without fighting skills like Jin, Iona, Platinum Angel... With Minamo, you can give Vigilance to those who haven't it.
With both Shizo and Minamo, you can put fear on two of them, as Minamo can also untap Shizo.
When you side up, I would suggest taking out 2x Ideas unbound, the least useful target on the match and one rites.
