Because you can copy opponent's spells with Reverberate.

Your opponent's miracles, kill spells, burn spells, counterspells, etc are also yours now. Situational, sure, but definitely game-winning often enough.

This deck is really cool
I was considering making a standard goblin deck but couldn't really think of how to pull it off.
This looks solid.

Does it play well against higher tier decks or is it more casual?

Undying Evil is also "SOOOO GOOOOD" in this type of deck.
You should test out 2-4 of them.

This deck is sick.

What's your plan against Day of Judgment and the like?

I'd drop both Shocks and put in one of something else.

That way you're at 60 main deck cards, and you avoid using... shock.

Looks pretty intense.
I wanted to avoid too many artifacts though.

0-drops are fast and always nice to have, but I don't think they're worth the deckspace in this particular deck.

I am considering 1-3 Spikeshot Elders. They're sick.

I've thought about Ruinblasters. The basic reasoning for favoring Tectonic Rift is that most of the time you get a full unblocked swing, which is handy. By the time this deck reaches the 4 mana for the Rift, there's a good chance that the opponent's defense is starting to take shape. Running 1/1's-3/3's into fatties isn't particularly smart. The "Plan B" of this deck (activated when the opponent builds up their defense) is run through with unblockables and/or toss your goblin grenades.

Goblin Guide is nasty. I understand not wanting to give your opponent land, but you need to build decks assuming that your opponent will always have enough land to play their hand (so the extra 1/3 chance of giving them a land usually isn't a significant advantage for them)

4 Aether Vial
4 Goblin Lackey

Free Goblins = more mana available to you.

That looks like a pretty solid card. I'll test it out.
Maybe I can get rid of the last two Teetering Peeks for it.

Goblin War Strike is pretty dirty, but this is a modern format deck

Also, what do you guys think of Undying Evil from the upcoming set?

{B}
Instant
Target creature gains Undying until end of turn

Reuse a dying matron, siege-gang, ringleader or just save a piledriver and get a counter out of it
I think it's playable as a 2-of.

Swords. Swords everywhere.

I haven't had the opportunity to play yet (my friends and I are relatively new to Magic. We frequent the shop but haven't started competing yet), but I've walked around and checked games out.

I've seen a good amount of Stoneforge/Sword nonsense
I saw one elves player
A handful of people pulling shenanigans with their graveyards (Reanimator?)
and lastly some burn and some zoo

that might be skewed though - I didn't look at everyone's deck and it's a pretty big place (50-70 people on average)

That actually was in here at first!
Turns out your opponent never chooses what you want them to choose, heh.

It only works in your favor when you're far ahead.

Oh, good point. I had completely forgot about that.

Chord of Calling looks a bit expensive, but perhaps if I added some more mana acceleration...

I'm quite tempted to remove the Modern barrier to get that GSZ. My original intention was to make it Modern tournament-playable (and there's no way this would stand up to Legacy decks), but considering.... what it is... it wouldn't stand up to Modern decks anyways.

Casual brew is casual I suppose.

Interesting. Llanowar elves would definitely be nice. I'll test them out and update my list if I decide to keep them.

My deck does suffer in the first few turns if I don't draw a Harbinger or Banneret, but once it hits turn 3-4 it starts to become a problem (for my opponents)

On further thought, I could run 1 Doran and free cast with Leaf-Crowned Elder...

Feel free to make suggestions!

As cool as Doran is, I want to keep it simple. Mono-Green please.

Thoughts on the inclusion of Green Sun's Zenith? Fetches?

Given the current top decks I'd recommend Arc Trail over Incinerate.

Also, Dissapate's UU is risky (but if it works then it works), so I'd recommend dropping those to 2 and shock down to 2 and then run 4 vapor snag (or 3 shock 3 snag)

looks to be a Standard format deck, so no bolts

also, I felt it was necessary to comment here as you named your deck after the greatest card in all of MtG.
