Deck discussion for Grixis Prime

Your mana base could use a little work. Take out Arcane Sanctum, Savage lands, and Grixis Panorama, replace them with 4 Akoum Refuge and 4 Jwar Isle refuge (or maybe Dragonskull Summit and Drowned Catacombs if you up your basic land count).

You should also consider running Bituminous maindeck. Also, get rid of the Grixis Sojourners, they're very rarely useful. Other than that, good job, I might end up building a Grixis deck similar to this one soon.

good call, totally forgot about those, was modeling the lands off my Jund deck which works very well

it makes sense to replace them, those lands both come in tapped, so it makes sense to trade a useless mana color for 1 life and the decrease in cost is very useful

personally i dont like bit blast because it is such a high mana cost spell and only deals 4 damage to a single creature, the cascade is nice but, i'd rather sideboard it, possibly up it to 4

i'm still stuck with the sideboard, i cant figure out what to stick in, i figure i'll keep sojourners.. until i find something better to replace with

thanks a lot for the changes, really appreciate it, you just saved me a few dollars and increased lifegain

I build a lot of Grixis, so her's my issues.......

Lightning Reaver is doing nothing, they're slow, susceptible to lightning bolt, and not so great

Panoramas tie up your mana more than need be, drop them for Terramorphics or Sac lands, if you can afford them.

Exotic Orchard is extremely Circumstantial, too much so to be in the deck.

I would Mainboard 2 cruel ultimatums at least, they're an amazing card, and often, a win condition.

2 Sedris, the Traitor King might be effective, should you decide to put something like Deathgreeter in, which is nice lifegain.

Corpse Connoisseurs stock the graveyard well as well as Fleshbag Marauders for board clearing

Suggested changes:

-3 lightning reavers
-2 Soul manipulation
-4 grixis charm
-4 exotic orchard
-3 grixis Panorama

+2 Akoum Refuge
+2 Jwar Isle Refuge
+2 Cruel Ultimatum
+4 Dregscape Zombie
+3 Terramorphic Expanse
+3 Deathgreeters OR Fleshbag Marauders

I like your suggestions on the lightning reaver, but i feel he can do a lot of damage if left in for a turn or two, yes he is a 3/3 and can get hit by lightning bolt, but he also increases in damage and has fear

the reason i'm using those exotic orchards is because my deck will be too slow if every single one of my lands comes in tapped and it's a gamble i'm willing to take

also i think grixis panorama is stronger than terramorphic expanse because if i dont need the mana i can still tap it for the colorless, comparing these two cards is more opinion because terra sacs for free, and brings a land in tapped, panorama does not come in tapped but tap 1 and sac and get a land tapped

dregscape is only a 2/1 with 1 mana unearth, he really doesn't bring anything to the table so i dont see how he really would do anything for the deck

sedris would be an absolute pointless addition because his main ability is all creatures gain unearth... don't get me wrong it's a good ability, except for the fact all my creatures already have unearth so he's an expensive basic 5/5

death greeter is cool, however he really doesn't do much for the deck, you could put him in any deck and he would work exactly the same, i don't think you realize after the unearth effect, creatures are not put into the graveyard, they are exline, so the deathgreeters ability only triggers once.. not twice

fleshbag marauders is cool.. and yes a nice field clear, but i'm trading at lowest a 3/2 with a discard effect, or a 4/2 unearth, for a 3/1 basic card after the sacrifice wears off, only good for one move, possibly a costly mistake later game

akoum refuge and jwar isle both come in tapped, they will both slow my deck even further, making me the player even more vulnerable

cruel ultimatum is a side board card to switch in place of swerve just because first game it's smarter to play defensive and then second game switch in some sideboard cards

corpse con is a good combo with fleshbag marauder, but i would be required to change all of my creatures, and i will lose a lot of damage, to me it's not worth it

i would rather keep grixis charm because if you were to switch in flesh bag, i'm assuming you're trading for grixis, however, fleshbag is a creature where grixis is an instant which works as a field clear with -4/-4, return target permanent, or strengthen my creatures for a kill

if you have a card that is strong enough to replace lightning reaver, let me know, i'm looking for a late game strong kill card

but thanks for the suggestions
