The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Infect creatures are so frail, seeing how they only have to do half the work. So why not ramp them up, give them trample, and destroy everything and everyone in your path.

How to Play

Infect, you only need to do 10 damage. Boost up the early drop creatures to eliminate your opponents creatures and starting hitting them. Wild Defiance boosts them up even more and Primal Rage gives them trample.

Deck discussion for Infect, Unblockable +X/+X

Perhaps some consideration for Mutagenic Growth? Why waste time pumping up with mana when you can pump up with life instead? Also, Blight Mamba? Because infect isn't already douchey enough without regenerate. Neither card costs too much, if I recall.

i chose rot wolf over mamba for the card advantage, and i like life lol

My counter-argument to that is "What good is life when you've already won?". Card advantage I can understand though.

Because i'm not always gonna win, decks can just not give you what you need and life is precious in those moments

True. It's somewhat risk/reward, but extremely potent when it comes together. I've quite often been on the wrong end of a turn 2 win against it, so it's certainly something to consider.

Playing a game expecting not to win can mean only that you are going to lose.

Mutagenic Growth is totally not worth two life, though.

No, it simply means you understand that you're not always going to win. You understand you're decks gonna feed you mana for 5 turns when you need cards. In that case i'd rather have life over mana

Time out! Mutagenic Growth is ALWAYS worth two life in an infect deck because you're dealing damage in poison counters! You pay two life and effectively deal four damage (if it gets through).

thats the case, IF and i can get 3 damage with giant growth instead

No the point is you can do both; cast two Giant Growths and as many Mutagenic Growths as you have one turn 2 for the win! You never cast Mutagenic Growth with mana.

What if you stick in some Cathedral of Wars. It could be a nice boost to an Infect creature. Plus most of your creatures are colorless.

not a bad suggestion but it makes this deck no longer budget

That is true.

Cathedral of War is a $1 card.... hardly can be considered a bank buster.

huh, mtgvault once again over prices things, atg the same time though, id like to be able to attack with more than infect, let an opponent think one is a threat over another and then change that fact

It doesn't limit the number of attackers you can use, just gives you a bonus for attacking with one. You can still attack with 2 or 20 creatures they just don't get +1/+1.
but you don't have to play it anyway. It comes into play tapped which makes it slow

whispersilk cloak would go good with an unblockable theme.

You need 4 Glistener Elves and 4 Blighted Agents. That is not unarguable.
4 Giant Growth, 4 Mutagenic Growth, 4 Groundswell, 4 Vines of Vastwood, 4 Rancors, and 3 Ranger's Guile are as close to a necessity as boost comes.
Primal Rage, Ichorclaw Myr, and Artful Dodge are good but I would drop the rest.
^That deck^ could easily be a tier 1 deck.
For an infect deck you don't care about your life total because you'll have won the game by turn 3 or turn 4 at the latest. That is how infect wins.

Yeah that's understandable. And I made a casual infect deck that's slower with contagion clasp and the like to play with friends because they don't like shuffling their decks every 2 or 3 turns :P.
Sorry for calling you out like that haha I didn't mean for it to come across that way.

FUCK INFECT, SHIT TOOK ALL THE STRATEGY OUT OF MTG, WIZARDS KNOW THEY FUCKED UP, THATS WHY YOU DON'T SEE INFECT ANYMORE.

lol we don't see infect because it rotated out...
But that's alright *patting gingerly on your head* I'm sure you'll find some way to ward off the big bad infect deck.
The day they ban Glistener Elf is the day they admit they goofed.
