The red vampires are famous for those wonderful +1/+1 counters. So the powerful Corpsejack Menace of the Golgari seemed like a great way to help them out. But with that black mana, why not add the benefits of their black vampire kin.
Drop red vampires early and forced adaptation to make them stronger. Use deathtouch spells to make them less desirable to block. Then drop corpsejack menance to give the red vampires even more counters. Other vampires give additional buffs. Falkenrath exterminator can be a powerful field wiper.
