Except if you play rule of law first you can't flip erayo since you can only play one and so can your opponent So that's 2 spells no flip curse of exhaustion may be better

Yeah It's better to transform Erayo before playing Rule Of Law. Curse Of Exhaustion is good idea but it cost 4 to cast.

I agree with trollking21 curse of exhaustion would work better because it doesn't limit how many spells you can play. This is a great deck.

Timing of playing Rule of Law is crucial. Too soon and Erayo, Soratami Ascendant won't flip, too late and Erayo mite get killed.

Oh, if you'd like to make this mono blue, Arcane Laboratory does exactly the same thing as Rule of Law :)

Thx for all your comments and suggestions here, I'll replace rule of law by curse for exhaustion :)

Nice lockdown deck, must be really anoying.
My only doubt is how do you plan to defeat your oponent after you set everything. I don't see much offensive things around. Maybe it me.
If you have time please check my decks, specially the 2nd as it is also a pseudo control/lock deck:

Hm.. I made a similar deck:
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381130

The only problems can see are as follows:
1) Even with gitaxian probe and ponder, you may find yourself having a difficult time playing 4 spells in one turn before turn 4 or 5, when you really need to have it turn 2 or 3.
2) You don't have any way to ensure that you can get both erayo and curse of exhaustion in your hand. Enlightened tutor is a great way to get your enchantment, and muddle the mixture is a counterspell that transmutes for 2 (ie: get erayo).

Take a look at my version of the deck to see how I make sure I can flip Erayo the turn I play him, then arcane laboratory turn 3.

Fun fact, a countered spell still counts towards Erayo's count for being flipped.

Yes, the counterspell counts, however, because erayo is worded "played" and not "cast", Im pretty sure that the spell that you counter doesnt count towards the four.
