Deck Description

Deck discussion for torch-bearing infantry

I would remove two Plains and two spells and add four more creatures, but thats just me.

Yeah I see that you have allot of 1X cards, if you try and focus on a certain goal of the deck instead of just luck of the draw that you will probably see the deck run a whole lot more smoothly. And I do agree that 26 lands is allot. Most decks run 20 if not less, I usually try and run 16 depending on my deck.

WOW Kanta... 16 lands really? I would shoot for 22-23 if your not running any mana ramp. Especially in dual color.

I agree with deakon I often go 22-24 and only less if i'm gonna have 4 growths or elves or something to ramp it. in a mono-color 20 is fine but i usually get a bit squeemish using a mana-thin deck :P

As for your deck, heart, I'd say you should, like Kanta said, take out some of the cards you really don't need and focus it, getting 2-4 copies of the cards you need to accomplish the goal you want for this deck. Seeing that you've gone with Red and White, you could run massive control and burn which wouldn't be a bad way to go. Try getting some Path to Exiles or Oblivion Rings, Pacifism's, Lightning Bolts, Volcanic fallouts, maybe some X burn spells like Fireball, Banefire, and Earthquake. Those are all fairly common to come across so they shouldn't be too hard to find. Then throw in some White flying creatures or even better just get some echantments like Armored Ascensions! (they cost 4 mana and give the creature +1/+1 for each plains you control AND flying.)

You do have some good cards going on, just try and focus it more so it'll work out more consistently :)

Check out my decks to get some ideas on how to do this if you want :) comments are welcome

alright so i took this deck apart and made a 60card white and a 40 card red. i've been perusing the local card shop for the singles i want but they are hard to come by. otherwise i would be putting more 4X cards in, the reason so many 1X cards is that i dont have a lot of cards that i have multiples of. i'm going to post my 40 card red deck because its been more successful than the white so far.
