Deck Description

Since Emrakul has protection from colored spells, once permanents enter the battlefield, they aren't colored spells. Still extremely annoying because PtE doesn't work. But still, a Journey to Nowhere or an Oblivion Ring will do. Here's another trick: Telipathy then, when you see 15 mana, Silence! (Really, cast Silence!) If it actually gets on the battlefield, Turntimber Basilisk, Rampant Growth, and Tajuru Preserver will do.

Deck discussion for Finally! A way to defeat Emrakul!

This deck is ok, though you should know that Ek has pro color and any colored spell will still not be able to target it. The O-ring will not be able to do the trick though if you use basilisk collar on any creature it will do the trick.

I am not an authority on rules, but I think the O-Ring would work. It's ability doesn't trigger until the O-Ring comes into play, Making it a colored permanent, not a colored spell.

All spells hold their color unless they are stated otherwise, such as kobolds that are 0 casting cost still count as red spells. Only cards that have it stated that it is colorless count as colorless when being cast. Thats why you have dragon claw, and other cards like that let you gain life every time you cast a spell of a specified color.

I've also heard that O-ring and Journey to nowhere CAN target emrakul, they are ABILITIES when they come off the stack; no longer spells.

This is just what I've heard though. Who is HONESTLY going to get emrakul out anyways. Just play fast aggro, you'll be fine. -_-

Also - DoJ. If you can live that long when they drop Emrakul.

O-Ring does work, we had it clarified at the pre-release. When O-Ring hits the board it is no longer considered a spell, but rather a white permanent and then its effect triggers. Keep those rings handy.

The O ring and journey do work. They hit the board as enchantments and at that time cease to be spells. They are then placed on a target.
