its based primarily off zendikar's landfall ability. I REALLY NEED HELP AND SUGGESTIONS. i want to enter some standard tourments soon and i want to have a decent deck to show up with. You really should look at my Domain deck for something you could consider building for Standard. Use Fetchlands with Adventurers Gear on the Gigapede. A Domain style deck is what is going to be successful, Aggro with Burn and you have to take advantage of the Cheap guys with Landfall. I played in a Sealed and Draft event so I know whats going on with the Standard world. Check out my Domain deck for some ideas again, you usually listen to my advice so have at it. Best thing I can tell you, keep going back. NO MATTER how outmatched you are or how many cards they have in value over you, keep going back because LOSING is how you learn. Its why I am ranked at the top in my state today.

should i put it another terromorphic expanse? and should i put my naturilzes in my mainboard and cut some of the burn?
to be honest, im afraid of making it all color (which is actually what i was going to do originally and put in cards like kor skyfisher and living tsunami) but i decided against it because i wanted to slim down my chance of getting mana screwed
Instead of Ball Lightning, I'd suggest Hellspark Elemental. It may only be a 3/1 with haste and trample, so at first you'll think it's a bad choice, but think of it this way... You play a Ball Lightning, they Lightning Bolt, Harms Way, Volcanic Fallout, Doomblade, or any kind of instant monster destruction. Ball Lightning was just basically wasted. But with Hellspark, if they use there destruction on it, you can just unearth it later which could actually come in more handy, because you can pick when you wanna bring him back and hit for three, it could make or break, so, basically with four you get eight creatures instead of the four with Ball Lightning.

Nice work. The scythe tiger won me a few matches in limited cos I built a deck with enough removal to handle the loss of one land early, but I am not sure how much you would benefit from him in standard.
i was thinking that too, but you really cant find a better one drop in standard in my opinion. its completely overpowered. : )
and this isnt the deck im hoping to compete with. im in the process of building a blue and white control deck which i will be competing with hopefully. ill let you know when i post it
