Wash out would be a nice combo with Persecute!
As your creatures are all quite expensive and you only count on Extraplanar Lense to get them out, Serra avatar and Beacon are not so useful any more against beat down decks.... put some defenders in for the early game like Wall of Essence; a board clearer like 4 Wrath of god would also get rid of that problem.
looks really fun, but one card would be your death in every game: shatter storm :P nice idea though!

but doesn´t champion remove the liege from the game? Better combo would be to remove the hermit as you get another 4 squirrels when it returns to the game...
and skullclamp is banned as is sol ring... but not in vintage;) I mostly play with friends unpowered T1-decks, so this deck is legal to that format.
I never had mana-problems due to the shock lands and birds; on the other way I often won a match by attacking with mishra´s after a wrath went of by castin blazing shoal with tyrant + berserk = 24 damage :P But thx for the comment anyway!
if you only play one of each card put some leylines of singularity in to get an advantage of that
How about you built a whole deck around those cards? Btw payin abt a thousand $ for that combo seems to be too expensive for most players here I guess...
it´s actually no highlander format but depending on the board I am able to choose the fittin creature. e.g. I don need more than one elvish piper if I can get the one in the deck with the survival...
And of course at least one Seshiro the Anointed... ;)
If you want to get an advantage of your swampwalking snakes, put in some Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and something to search for them (Crop Rotation maybe)
sure the jokulhaups helps the gargadon to get out as i sacrifize all my permanents in it when jokulhaups is on the stack....
Where is horn of greed??? Nice in combination with meloku, the clouded mirror...
how abt some blazing shoals? always nice to throw away from your hand the useless second sneak attack and let the tyrant deal its 20 damage... :P
