i like it, but I'd probably get rid of ravenous trap and swap it for 'keening stone', or if you want something cheap 'hedron crab'.. it's just that you've already got the leyline and relic for exiling graveyards- you can't double exile a graveyard..

i'd sideboard a couple 'demystify' in case you run into a deck using 'rain of gore'

nice, i made a similar deck and i'd recommend demystify- works really well for when you 'journey to nowhere' your 'venerated teacher'

as for the ocmbo not working, i'm sure that each creature being killed constitutes damage as well (if there are 4x 2/2 creature on the board when it's cast, all together that'd be 8 damage)... wouldnt it?
