Deck Description

destroy lands.
make blocking cause damage (potentially 8 damage for each blocking creature)
invasion plans makes all creature block, balduvian warlord lets you have even more say over the blockers - extra damage. - fury of the horde to let you do it all again. you can destroy invasion plans before your opponents attack phase if you want - entirely up to you and the cards in your hand.
braid of fire + fire ball is always going to be fun.
destroy artifacts.

i never play red - but this challenge looked like fun.

Deck discussion for rape/pillage

+1
I really like the addition of Icefall in this deck; it's a great card and has some fun synergy with Fury of the Horde's alternate cost.

The x8 Heat of Battle is a really fun idea with Invasion Plans, and it actually puts Balduvian Warlord to good use! Kudos, I had been having a hard time trying to abuse him! It might actually be fun to use Fumiko the Lowblood in here, as though she isn't a barbarian, Godo is and he interacts with her creature type.

The Braid of Fire + Fireball combo seems like it doesn't work anymore; the mana you get from the Braid has to be used during your upkeep or else it empties at the end of the phase, You could use Volcanic Geyser instead of Fireball though. Even still, the Braid of Fire doesn't really seem to fit in the deck- it's only there to fuel one X spell rather than promote the theme. I think Balthor the Stout would be a nice way to make more use of it.

Wow. +1. I think this one captures the barbaric theme more literally than any other so far. If it were I, I'd probably follow scumbling's advice and also take out either Shock or Sudden Shock in favor of Loxodon Warhammer. It would offset the damage caused by blocking (or not blocking) and give you something to pump with Balthor if you included him.

One problem. you mention that you can destroy Invasion Plans (and other enchantments), yet I see no way to do it...

I agree with the two above. Nice deck, +1.

thnx for the tips... i realise i mis-read quite a few cards while making it.
for some reason i thought pillage/ice fall targeted enchantments as well, and that fireball was an instant... thatll take some revision.
i really like the idea with balthor/loxodon instead of fireball - i guess youll see the changes soon.
thax again.

i've also added guerilla tactics to the sideboard for use against blue decks [counter]
and relentless assault to potentially be able to have 8 successive attack phases - it's a bit of overkill but hey, could be fun to watch your opponent's face as you keep attacking

lol. Misreading (or misremembering) cards happens to me daily.

I like the changes you've made, but I don't know if 20 lands will run a 75 card deck. Of course, the only way to know is to play it.

Oh, and overkill is one of the chief strong suits of any barbarian. I think that's made clear by any deck I've ever made.

For a 75 card deck it is pretty effective. Kudos and +1
