Deck Description

So this is my mono-white soldier weenie deck I play at the kitchen table with my friends. I recently updated it, putting in Precinct Captain from RTR, so I put it up here.

It's pretty straightforward and I have a good amount of fun playing it. The strategy is pretty much the same as any weenie deck, with a few nice interactions. You can drop Odric with Preeminent Captain as they're attacking and have an unblocked combat phase ready next turn. Captain of the Watch has nice interactions with Preeminent Captain also, giving a sudden buff, and Ballyrush makes it not unreachable curve-wise. I love Brave the elements for its versatility as a combat trick, making your creatures unblockable for a turn, or just avoiding kill/damage spells.

I recently added Precinct since he's just a solid creature with a relevant weenie ability, as well as my copies of Windbrisk heights, since I figured that might be a neat way to cheat out a free Odric or Captain of the Watch. Honor of the Pure is the classic crusade buff for white weenie, and I have Martial Coup in there because I have a friend who likes to play mono-green Elves and that usually blows him outta the game if I already have at least one HoP out.

The sideboard has Firewalker for anti-burn, O-Ring for anti-planeswalker, and both Thalia and Faith's Reward for anti-control. Usually if one of my friends sees me play this, they'll get their wraths and removal ready. Thalia slows that down, and Faith's Reward can be such a demoralizing comeback from a wrath.

Overall, I'm looking for suggestions! I've debated the usefulness of Windbrisk and Secluded Steppe, but haven't played with them much, and I think having tapped lands at 7 might slow it down too much. I don't think I need the tenth edition lord since I mostly have first strike anyway, but I am wondering about including Faith's Shield or something along those lines for more protection.

Mentor of the Meek doesn't play well with Honor, so I elected not to include him, even though the cantrip would be choice. Also, as much as I love Champion, I question his efficiency when running 8 non-humans. I know T2 Naya blitz only runs the four boars to get maximum value out of him, so I wonder about it. Anyways, cheers!

Thanks! Yeah, tribal decks are always a blast to play, I think all of my friends are attached to at least one. :P Makes multiplayer games very political!

agreed!
i own a legacy goblin deck, its awesome to play with...
Also there are very few relevant/good/normally working decks on Mtgvault.com , all i see is some noobs posting completely not working and terrible decks.

Its a huge relief seeing a deck like this :)
