Deck Description

This is just my Warp World deck I like to play with my friends. I used to have full Bogardan Hellkites and Ob-Nixilis in it, but I like the creature-rush type of warps, so I recently switched in Rampaging Baloths, AoZ, and Flame-Kin Zealot. So far, it's been a blast.

The deck archetype as a whole can manifest in a million different ways in a handful of colors, so I really love just messing around with the deck and taking it in new directions. In its current iteration, I like the mana engine and endgame a lot, but if there's any way it might be more consistent, I'll happily take suggestions!

And worth noting is that it's just a casual deck for when my buddies don't wanna play Modern or EDH, so it's not supposed to be particularly cutthroat.

How to Play

The premise is fairly straightforward. You use your mana dorks, Coiling Oracle, and Lotus Cobra + Fetchlands as your explosive mana engines to hit large mana premanent generators like AoZ and Baloths, or Warp World. You don't always want to warp asap, but rather wait until you have roughly ten-ish permanents on the field. The majority of the deck is splashes of fun things, not quite so focused on one permutation of the archetype.

The obvious win-con is warping into Flame-kin Zealot with an Avenger, Baloths, or Siege-Gang Commander and a fair number of lands. Alternatively, you'll sometimes flip into an Eternal Witness which can recur your Warp World if you have enough mana for a second shot, in the case of unsatisfactory results. Other than that, the deck's pieces should be all very straightforward in their purpose. Bloodbraid will always cascade into a mana engine piece, Siege-gang is extra permanents and potential removal, Boseju is to protect your Warp Worlds, and Eternal Witness can recur fetchlands for later boosts in mana from Lotus Cobra. All neat stuff.

On the sideboard, we have some alternate win-cons if creature rushing isn't working. You can side in Hellkites for direct damage and fliers, Ob-Nixilis for direct life loss when he gets warped in with lands, and Regal Force if you find you have to re-fuel on gas for longer bouts. Anathemancer deals wonderfully with pesky decks that use a lot of non-basics, and Trinket Mage plus the one Pithing Needle does wonders against combo-piece permanents and Planeswalkers.

All-in-all, not the most competitive deck, but definitely a blast to play. Definitely my new favorite for the kitchen table, and I hope someone else enjoys it as much as I do! Cheers!
