Deck Description

I like blood researcher a lot but it's the only creature that really benefits from gaining life in golgari within pauper that I could find. Probably pretty jank but I like the idea so I'm seeing if I can make something that can at least get some wins.

Deck discussion for Golgari life gain

Marauding Blight-Priest can turn you life gain into life drain. Vault Skirge is a good early beater with evasion and lifelink.
If you don't need the lesson-cards that you're able to get using Cram Session then Pristine Talisman or [Trespasser's Curse]] could be a replacement.
Witherbloom Pledgemage could be replaced with Ill-Gotten Inheritance tough this would loose you another creature

I took out duskweilder and blood leech for the Blight-Priest and Vault Skirge. They both just have way more value. As for Cram Session, I like how it's a bit versatile in that it allows me to eiter fix mana or get some creatures that will in turn trigger Blood Reasercher later. But I'm going to buy 4 of each of the cards you suggested for playtesting purposes. Same with Ill-Gotten Inheritance. I like all of these cards but won't be sure until i test.

Having played with vault skirge and learn cards for a while, I've come to like expanded anatomy.
If placed on vault skirge it will also improve blight-priest.

Proxy and play test before buying is a better strategy.

"If placed on vault skirge it will also improve blight-priest"... not really. You would need something like Sanguine Bond for this to work instead of Marauding Blight-Priest. Blight-Priest let's your opponent lose 1 life for whenever you gain life, but it doesn't care if the lifegain is 1(time)x100(life) or 1x1 life. Other thing is when you gain 100x1 life.

True, overlooked that small detail.
Sanguine bond might not be worth it because of the steep cost.

Gaining more life is the great thing with expanded anatomy, but it doesn't prevent the deck from staying with the blight priest.

I'm working on a "rat bell" variant by the way, trying to abuse chittering rats.
